Competition Format

Preliminary Round (Run format) - Athletes will be randomly divided into HEATS in group of 8 to 10 athletes. The time limit is 60 secs run. Each athlete in each HEAT will be given a 2 x 60 secs run with the BEST RUN count. Results and rankings are based on overall HEATS.

Final Round (Start list Jam format) - Athletes will be divided into 2 groups with 1,3,5,7,9 in one group and 2,4,6,8,10 in another group. Each group has a 15 minutes jam with each athlete having a 60 second run. Each athlete should be able to complete about 4 runs in each heats. Out of the 4 - 5 runs, the best 2 runs score will be added up and divided by 2 to get an average score. The highest overall score wins. In case of a tie, the next best run score will decide.

*SG Qualifying Round - All local participants who are not endorsed by the Asian Extreme Sports Federation (AXF) will have to go through a preliminary round on 2 Dec to qualify for the competition on 3 - 4 Dec.

Judging

  • Aggressive execution of maneuvers and preferably seeing the athlete maneuvering through the whole Park Course.
  • Content: Difficulty, originality and variety of tricks successfully performed.
  • Style - Flow, continuity and consistency.

Scoring

Three (3) judges score the competitors on a whole number 100 point scale.

The scores are added together and divided by 3, to yield a score to 2 decimal places (e.g. 89.55). In the event of a tie, the next run scores will be added up to get a total score to decide the rankings. The idea is to contest the run, so no average for this decision.

Judges decision is final. Any objections must be made within 30 minutes of the results being posted on the results board.

Contingency Plans

  • If weather condition prevents the continuation of any disciplines, the concluded scores of previous event will count as the final score to award the winners.
  • Final decision to restart the competition due to weather condition will be decided by the event organizer and technical team. Safety is the number One priority before restarting any event.
  • A maximum 2 hours grace will be given to ensure the venue is safe before restarting any discipline. Otherwise condition number 1 applies.
